  10. The definition of temporal element found in the glossary published in
  11. SIGMOD Record contains the terms "time box" and "bitemporal
  12. rectangle," which are undefined. I suggest the following changes.

  14. 1. Replace "finite union of n-dimensional time boxes" in the
  15. definition of temporal element with "finite set of $n$-dimensional
  16. chronons".
  17.  
  18. 2. The definition of chronon be extended to allow $n$-dimensional
  19. chronons.  This could be accomplished by adding this sentence to the
  20. definition of chronon:

  22.     "An $n$-dimensional chronon is a non-decomposable region
  23.      in $n$-dimensional time."
  24.  
  25. 3. Replace "bitemporal rectangles" in the definition of temporal element
  26. with "$n$-dimensional chronons".
